Ms. Julia Snyder
Julia Snyder holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Baylor University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Performance credits include Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Elizabeth Doe in The Ballad of Baby Doe and Nannetta in Falstaff. Scene work includes the title role in Arabella, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, title role in Lakmé and Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel. In 2008, Ms. Snyder was a District winner and Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Other awards include Finalist in the Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition, 3rd place in the National Society of Arts and Letters San Antonio District Vocal Competition, 3rd place in the Charlotte Opera Guild Vocal Competition, 1st place in the Mid-Atlantic Regional NATS Competition and Semi-finalist in the Charles Lynam Vocal Competition. Most recently, Ms. Snyder participated in an intensive opera training program in Italy with the Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera.
As a teacher of voice, Miss. Snyder taught Class Voice and had a private studio of voice students while studying for her graduate degree at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. From 2008-09, Julia had a studio of over twenty students at Canyon Ridge Middle School in Leander,Texas. Her students have been members of the All-Region Middle Choir, received the highest marks in UIL Solo and Ensemble and participated as leading and supporting characters in Leander’s school musical, Charlotte’s Web. Currently, Julia teaches private voice lessons to students at Canyon Ridge Middle School,Cedar Park High School, Vandergrift High School and Walsh Middle School.
